Terrier provides Integrated Security Services to one of India’s leading academic and research institutions. It has been granted ‘Institution of Eminence’ status by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Terrier system utilized advanced tools to secure all four layers of the campus: the grounds perimeter, the grounds layer (parking lots and fields), the building perimeter, and the building interior. At campus gates, we deployed Flap/Boom Gates for perimeter control along with CCTV surveillance and License Plate Recognition (ANPR). Inside the buildings, we implemented Facial Recognition (FR) and Biometric Access Solutions for controlled access enabling parents to receive timely alerts and greater reassurance.

The Challenges

Student and staff safety – Needed a unified, dependable system to protect thousands across a large campus.

Standardizing existing security products – Existing fragmented systems required consolidation under one integrated framework.

Manual security checks – Outdated manual processes slowed access and created security gaps.

Outdated monitoring for evidence – Legacy CCTV systems lacked the intelligence for actionable insights or quick retrieval.

Intellectual property protection – Sensitive research facilities required enhanced access governance and monitoring.

Security SOP implementation – Need to enforce consistent campus-wide SOPs across multiple departments and buildings.

Terrier Solutions

Integrated campus security (guards + surveillance) – Combined trained manpower with smart surveillance to secure all four campus layers.

AI-powered analytics – Enabled real-time threat detection, anomaly alerts, and behavior monitoring across the campus.

24×7 command center – Centralized monitoring with immediate escalation for intrusions, incidents, and emergencies.

ANPR vehicle number plate scanning – Automated logging and validation of every vehicle entering the campus.

Quick Response Team (QRT) with patrol vehicles – Added rapid-deployment teams equipped with GPS-tracked patrol units for active deterrence.
