Terrier Electronic Security Solutions (TESS) partnered with one of Apple’s key manufacturing partners to implement a high-end, integrated security solution for its large-scale production hub. We combined a 300+ security workforce with real-time facial recognition systems and advanced surveillance technology to secure the premises and safeguard sensitive manufacturing processes.

Our integrated deployment delivered comprehensive, layered protection across the entire facility. Over 10,000 employees were authenticated through IP-based facial recognition cameras for high-speed access control. Boom Barriers and Vehicle Monitoring Cameras were installed to control and strictly monitor the entry and exit of all vehicles within the premises.

Critical loading and unloading zones were secured using AI-enabled cameras to prevent pilferage and ensure adherence to mandated manufacturing procedures. A centralized command setup, supported by a Videowall with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Video Content Analytics, enabled proactive monitoring and real-time alerts from more than 500 IP cameras installed across the site.

The Challenges

Safeguarding the manufacturing hub from intruders – Securing high-value production zones that required zero unauthorized access.

Round-the-clock monitoring of the facility – Ensuring continuous surveillance across a 24×7 high-throughput environment.

Frisking and proper security checks for employees – Implementing accurate, fast, and consistent security verification for all staff.

Strict monitoring of all vehicles within the premises – Tracking and controlling every vehicle entering or moving inside the campus.

Monitoring critical loading and unloading bays – Preventing pilferage and material leakages from sensitive handling zones.

Intellectual property safeguards – Protecting proprietary manufacturing processes and IP-restricted areas.

Mandatory adherence to manufacturing SOPs – Ensuring security workflows aligned with strict procedural requirements.

Controlling access to Apple-authorized critical zones – Restricting certain areas only to employees with Apple-approved authorization levels.

Terrier Solutions

Infrared beam detectors for perimeter protection – Installed beam-based systems to minimize false alarms and detect actual intrusion attempts.

AI-enabled cameras to prevent pilferage at loading/unloading areas – Used advanced analytics to monitor handling zones and detect suspicious material movement.

Face Recognition System for employee authentication – Enabled high-speed FR-based access checks across all key touchpoints in the facility.

Videowall for intruder detection and unforeseen activity – Set up centralized monitoring with AI and Video Content Analytics for real-time alerts.

Boom barriers with vehicle monitoring cameras – Automated vehicle entry/exit control using ANPR and integrated barrier systems.
